42 HAZ İ RAN 2026 Purple Comet Math Meet Sasmo Mathematics Competition As Çevre High School, we participated in the international Purple Comet Math Meet competition, which is organized annually by the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Awesome Math Summer Program, on Friday, April 17, 2026. This competition, in whichmany schools fromaround the world take part, aims to develop students’ mathematical thinking, problem- solving, and teamwork skills. We congratulate our participating students on their achievements. The “SASMO” (SINGAPORE & ASIAN SCHOOLS MATH OLYMPIAD) exam, which develops students’ problem-solving skills and provides them with the opportunity to use mathematics as a universal language, was held at our school on March 27, 2026, with 16 students. In this globally acclaimed mathematics competition, our 9th-grade students Yiğit Çetindağ, Beşir Kerem Camadan, and Emre Saka won bronze medals; Şimal Sözmen, Beren Gümüş, Mehmet Tezbulan, Ada Gerdan, and Minel Özbey received honorable mentions; and our 10th-grade students Görkem Tufan and Mehmet Çoluk also received honorable mentions. Furthermore, our 9th-grade students Arhan Tuna Başak and Ceyhan Çiftçioğlu, and our 10th-grade students Derin Terzi, Zeynep Arıkan, Gülşah İmamoğlu, and Alp Batuhan Pamukçu received certificates. We congratulate our students and our coordinating teacher Nilgün Yazıcı. Purple Comet Math Meet Sasmo Matematik Yarışması ABD Wisconsin-Whitewater Üniversitesi Matematik ve Bilgisayar Bilimleri Bölümü ve Awesome Math Summer Programı tarafından her yıl düzenlenen uluslararası Purple Comet MathMeet yarışmasına Çevre Lisesi olarak 17 Nisan 2026 Cuma günü katıldık. Dünya genelinde birçok okulun katılım sağladığı bu yarışma, öğrencilerin matematiksel düşünme, problem çözme ve takım çalışması becerilerini geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Katılan öğrencilerimizi başarıları için tebrik ederiz. Öğrencilerin problem çözme becerilerini geliştiren ve evrensel bir dil olarak matematiği kullanmalarına fırsat tanıyan “SASMO” (SINGAPORE & ASIAN SCHOOLS MATH OLYMPIAD) sınavı okulumuzda 27 Mart 2026 tarihinde 16 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tüm dünyada ses getiren bu matematik yarışmasında 9. sınıf öğrencilerimizden Yiğit Çetindağ, Beşir Kerem Camadan, Emre Saka bronz madalya; Şimal Sözmen, Beren Gümüş, Mehmet Tezbulan, Ada Gerdan, Minel Özbey onur madalyası ve 10.
