67 HAZ İ RAN 2026 a good idea. But if you say, “The teacher explained numbers today but I couldn’t understand it, can you show me a way?”— there is absolutely no problem with that; it will move you forward. Teacher, do you think technology use affects academic success? If used correctly, it is an incredible lever. For example, I work in advanced mathematics, and it develops me immensely. When I am about to write an article, it helps significantly with the literature review process. Therefore, it is a great lever if used correctly. But if you misuse it—opening up your inner world, sharing too much personal information or photos—it won’t be good. Pay attention to this. Yesterday was May 19th. I congratulate all of you on the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. How many of you went to Anıtkabir in Ankara? Right beneath Anıtkabir, there is the War of Independence Museum. At the very end of that museum, there is a section containing Atatürk’s books. Atatürk read nearly 3,000 books throughout his life, a life spent mostly on active battlefronts, unlike our routine lives. He truly read them—taking notes in the margins, finishing them completely. He read philosophy, he read the art of war, and he even wrote a geometry textbook. Can you see his foresight? I am telling you this for two reasons: first, because yesterday was May 19th, and second, because look at him—an orphan born in Thessaloniki, raised in a very poor family, yet he managed to accomplish all of this. He founded this country and lived his life as a true intellectual. If he could achieve all that under those immense hardships, think about yourselves. You have so many opportunities. You are studying at a very beautiful school, and your families cherish you. You can do much better things. We just need to believe in it.
